Operation Celebrity

I wanted to share with all of you a blog that a friend of mine started. Here is what the blog is for. PLEASE READ!!!!! and Enjoy!

Hello there! Welcome to the Operation Celebrity blog. OC was created by a Christian teenager in Blanchard, OK, who, because of her love of movies, desired to change the world of entertainment for the better. She emailed a bunch of her friends and family, and as a result, Christians scattered around the US pray for a different celebrity at 12:30 pm every day for a week. Entertainment is a huge influence on our culture. We believe that if numerous celebrities came to know the Lord, then they could have a huge impact on our world! We pray that someone will come into the celebrities’ lives who will show them the love, forgiveness, mercy, and grace of God. Some people might think that some celebrities are too bad to be saved, but Jesus died for them, too. God can change anybody’s life. And consider this: if celebrities such as Tom Hanks and Will Smith, who have such a big influence on entertainment, became Christians, just think of how they could change the entire entertainment culture.

We would like to ask everyone reading this blog to get involved. Every Sunday, a new blog post will tell you who we will be praying for that week. All you have to do is take action: get down on your knees and pray.

What we do could totally change the entertainment which has corrupted our world for years. Our goal is to further the kingdom of God. Our prayer is that celebrities will realize that they have a meaning and real purpose in life, and that there is a God out there Who loves them unconditionally. We hope that the world of entertainment will be greatly impacted and, above all, that God will be glorified. We wish to turn the entertainment genre and all those in it to the One Who did change the world. Impossible, you say?

We think not.

In Christ,
The Operation Celebrity Team
